Broad and Consistent Mineralisation Confirmed
White Cliff Minerals (ASX: WCN; OTCQB: WCMLF) has reported new high-grade copper results from its ongoing drilling at the Rae Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada. The standout intercept from hole DAN25012 returned 23 metres at 5.2% copper and 16.4 grams-per-tonne silver from 82 metres, within a broader 87-metre zone averaging 2.4% copper.
The hole extends mineralisation 100 metres southwest of DAN25007, which earlier produced 105 metres at 2.25% copper. Meanwhile, hole DAN25011 intersected 37 metres at 0.49% copper from 5 metres, including a higher-grade section of 5 metres at 1.91% copper and 13.4 grams-per-tonne silver from 30 metres.
Managing Director Troy Whittaker said laboratory turnaround times are improving and results continue to confirm lateral growth at Danvers. “We are now seeing regular releases from the laboratory, with these latest very encouraging results on par with the spring campaign,” he said.
Expansion Beyond Historic Boundaries
The results have expanded the known mineralised footprint by more than 35%, now spanning over 500 metres of strike. This zone extends well beyond a historical non-JORC resource of 4.16 million tonnes at 2.96% copper (2% cut-off).
Drilling so far has confirmed continuity of near-surface, high-grade mineralisation suitable for open-pit development. Around 60% of assays from the current summer campaign are still pending, with results expected through early 2026.
Further Testing and Metallurgical Work Underway
White Cliff plans to initiate mineralogical and metallurgical studies to confirm copper recovery characteristics and determine whether the Danvers ore is suitable for direct shipping. The company has now completed more than 6,400 metres of drilling across the Rae Project, with the latest holes confirming thick, shallow mineralised zones.
Located in Canada’s Nunavut territory, the Rae Project lies within the Great Bear Lake region, considered one of the country’s most prospective iron-oxide-copper-gold districts. Previous results have included intercepts such as 175 metres at 2.5% copper and 8.66 grams-per-tonne silver, and 90 metres at 4% copper and 7.5 grams-per-tonne silver.
The company’s systematic expansion drilling and planned metallurgical testing aim to upgrade historical estimates to JORC-compliant resources, potentially positioning Rae as one of Canada’s emerging high-grade copper systems.
