White Cliff Strikes Again: Rae Delivers 63m at 2.23% Copper Hit

High-grade copper system continues to grow, as White Cliff builds momentum in underexplored Nunavut province

White Cliff Minerals (WCN ASX) has delivered another significant copper intercept at its Rae Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada, further confirming the project’s scale and high-grade potential.

The latest assays from drill hole DAN25002 revealed a standout hit of 63m @ 2.23% copper and 7.1g/t silver from just 9.14m downhole. This includes a particularly rich zone of 15m @ 5% copper and 16.9g/t silver from 18.29m.

High-Grade System Expanding Fast

These results follow a series of earlier impressive hits: 175m @ 2.5% Cu, 58m @ 3.08% Cu, and 52m @ 1.16% Cu. The consistency and shallowness of these intercepts is increasingly rare in today’s copper exploration landscape.

Another hole, DAN25004, returned two additional copper-rich intervals:

  • 38m @ 1% Cu from 7.62m
  • 72m @ 1.08% Cu from 62.48m, including 14m @ 2.32% Cu from 106.68m

According to White Cliff Managing Director Troy Whittaker, these results strengthen the case for a shallow, open-pit scenario at Danvers. “These types of surface copper hits are hard to come by today,” Whittaker said. “We’re tapping into a system with real scale, and we’re just getting started.”

Momentum Building Across Rae

Beyond drilling, White Cliff has completed pre-collar work at the Hulk prospect, preparing for diamond drilling in the coming weeks. Discussions are also underway to begin airborne geophysical surveys across a 9.1km strike zone at Danvers, alongside down-hole EM surveys to refine future targets.

Regional Interest and Infrastructure Tailwinds

As activity ramps up in Nunavut, White Cliff’s early-mover advantage is becoming clear. New infrastructure discussions—including potential road and port development—could significantly boost logistics and long-term development prospects.

The Rae Project lies less than 80km from the deep-water port of Kugluktuk, making it one of the more accessible copper plays in the Canadian north.

Looking Ahead for WCN ASX

Further assay results are pending, with expectations high. For ASX investors, Rae continues to emerge as a potential cornerstone asset in a region finally opening up to serious exploration again.
