Beamtree Wins $4M Contract to Deliver PICQ Software to Ireland

Beamtree Holdings (ASX: BMT) has won a five-year contract renewal worth AU$3.95 million (€2.3 million) to provide its market-leading PICQ® software to the Republic of Ireland’s public hospital system. The agreement, awarded through an EU-wide tender, reinforces Beamtree’s position as a leader in AI-driven healthcare data solutions.

Growth in Europe Strengthens Global Footprint

Beamtree’s PICQ® (Performance Indicator for Coding Quality) software, a key tool for improving clinical coding accuracy, has been in use in Ireland since 2018.

Clinical coding is the process of translating written clinical statements (like patient records) into standardized codes, using classification systems to facilitate data storage, retrieval, analysis, and billing in healthcare settings. 

The PICQ software automates the audit of classification, enhancing data reliability and supporting clinical coders. Beyond Ireland, Beamtree’s coding and data quality solutions are deployed in Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and Canada, with ongoing development for the UK market.
