Advance Metals Ltd. (ASX: AVM) has released spectacular new drilling results from its Myrtleford Project in Victoria, including a gold intercept grading up to an eye-watering 446 grams per tonne (g/t) – one of the highest grades reported in the region in recent years.
The highlight came from diamond drill hole AMD003, which returned 7.5 metres at 47.9g/t gold, including 1.3 metres at 271.6g/t, and a single 0.7 metre interval grading 446g/t.
“This follows the release of exceptional results from the Company’s first hole at the prospect, which returned 8.2 metres at 22.4g/t Au including 3.2 metres at 54.7g/t Au,” the company said in its statement.
Managing Director Adam McKinnon called the results from AMD003 “fantastic.”

“Once again we are seeing fantastic results returned from the Happy Valley Prospect at Myrtleford. In combination with previous drilling and the recent result from AMD001, we have now defined a coherent ultra-high-grade zone with potential extensions in multiple directions,” McKinnon said.
“Hole AMD003, in particular, is now one of the best holes ever drilled at Myrtleford with three separate high-grade zones and individual gold assays up 446g/t.”
Hole AMD003 was drilled near previous high-grade intercepts and appears to intersect the historic “Old Happy Valley Lode.” Together with earlier holes AMD001 and AMD002, the new data defines a continuous ultra-high-grade zone with promising extensions down-plunge and along strike.
Meanwhile, AMD004 has also hit visible gold zones at multiple intervals, with assay results pending. The company emphasized that visual identification of gold is not a substitute for laboratory assays, but expectations are high following the consistency seen so far.
“Further, the initial logging results from hole AMD004 makes it four-from-four for the program in terms of visible gold hits,” McKinnon added. “Our technical team are continuing to evaluate the geometry and controls on mineralisation at the prospect and regional scales, with drilling now moving north to the Twist Creek area to test some of this enormous regional potential.”
Advance is now drilling at Twist Creek, 45km northwest of Happy Valley, where earlier shallow drilling hit up to 43g/t gold.
Advance recently entered into a binding agreement with Serra Energy Metals Corp. (CSE:SEEM and OTCQB:ESVNF) to acquire an 80% interest via joint venture on the high grade Myrtleford and Beaufort Gold Project, announced by the company 06th January, 2025.
