Distribution Triples Across Coles Network
Pure Foods Tasmania (ASX: PFT) has expanded the distribution of its Tasmanian Pâté brand from about 300 to around 700 Coles supermarkets nationwide. The rollout is underway, with full implementation expected in the coming weeks under Coles’ existing master supply agreement.
The new national ranging follows a period of strong performance, with September orders exceeding ten times the average monthly volumes achieved between June and August 2025.
Sales Outlook Strengthens
Based on current trends, Pure Foods Tasmania forecasts annualised sales from the Coles expansion to reach between $500,000 and $600,000. That represents a material uplift of about 15% compared with FY25 Tasmanian Pâté sales of $3.68 million.
The company said the additional store presence will reinforce its revenue base and brand visibility, providing a stronger platform for long-term growth. All products under the new arrangement are being shipped under existing contractual terms.
Strategic Context
Pure Foods Tasmania has been pursuing a turnaround strategy focused on expanding profitable sales channels and leveraging its suite of premium brands. The Tasmanian Pâté product line — part of a portfolio that includes Woodbridge Smokehouse, Daly Potato Co, and The Cashew Creamery — is a key contributor to the group’s performance in the gourmet and plant-based food categories.
Executive Chair Malcolm McAully said the expansion reflected both strong consumer demand and confidence from Coles as a retail partner. “This endorsement validates our brand’s appeal to consumers seeking premium Tasmanian products and supports our focus on sustainable, profitable growth,” he said.
With the rollout now in motion, Pure Foods Tasmania plans to continue building scale and exploring new opportunities for distribution across its brands. The company views its alignment with Coles as a cornerstone for future growth in the domestic retail segment.
