Dateline Resources Extends Colosseum Gold System With 149.6m Intercept in Northeast Pipe

Dateline Resources (ASX: DTR) reports 149.6m at 1.39g/t gold at Colosseum, extending mineralisation beyond current resource and supporting potential mine life growth in California.

Dateline Resources (ASX: DTR) has reported a wide gold intercept from diamond hole CM25-41 at its 100%-owned Colosseum Gold-REE Project in California.

The hole returned 149.65 metres at 1.39 grams-per-tonne gold from surface, including 55.2 metres at 2.83 grams-per-tonne gold. The drill hole ended in mineralisation at approximately 1 gram-per-tonne gold, confirming the system remains open at depth.

Northeast Extension Gains Definition

CM25-41 targeted the northeast extension of the North Pipe breccia system, beyond the current mineral resource boundary.

The result builds on earlier reverse circulation intercepts. These include 295.64 metres at 1.04 grams-per-tonne gold and 297.17 metres at 0.68 grams-per-tonne gold reported in January. Drilling to date indicates mineralisation continuity over hundreds of metres outside the existing resource envelope. The latest intercept includes a high-grade core from surface.

Managing Director Stephen Baghdadi said: “Colosseum continues to deliver positive results as we work systematically across the project.” He added the company is advancing work “with the objective of determining how these results can translate into longer-mine life options for the project.”

Resource Base and Economics

Colosseum currently hosts a JORC 2012 Mineral Resource of 27.1 million tonnes at 1.26 grams-per-tonne gold for 1.1 million ounces.

More than 67% of the resource is classified as Measured and Indicated.

The May 2025 Scoping Study outlined an open-pit operation with an initial mine life of approximately 8.5 years. At a gold price of US$2,900 per ounce, the study generated an internal rate of return of 61% and an NPV6.5 of US$550 million.

The northeast extension drilling suggests mineralisation extends beyond the current pit design. Several intercepts exceed the average resource grade.

In particular, the presence of higher-grade zones may support underground mining following open-pit completion. This could extend the project’s productive life.

Deeper Testing Underway

Larger-capacity diamond core rigs are now mobilising to test deeper portions of the North Pipe beyond 300 metres.

The company aims to better define the geometry and orientation of the breccia pipe at depth. Continuous core will also assist in advancing the ongoing Bankable Feasibility Study.

Colosseum sits less than 10 kilometres from the Mountain Pass rare earth mine. Geological work indicates the systems are genetically related, and Dateline is testing rare earth potential at depth.

An updated Mineral Resource estimate is in preparation as drilling progresses.
