Astute Metals (ASE ASX) Hits Big Intercept of 32.4M 3260ppm Lithium at Red Mountain

Astute Metals ASE ASX hits record 8.6 m at 5,060 ppm Li, extends Red Mountain strike to 5.6 km; A$1.68 M cash fuels rapid resource growth.

Outstanding Drill Results

Astute Metals (ASE ASX) today confirmed its strongest lithium intersection yet at the Red Mountain Project in Nevada. Drill-hole RMDD003 returned 32.4 m grading 3,260 ppm lithium from 57.2 m. The hit included an ultra-high-grade 8.6 m interval at 5,060 ppm.

Additional zones were also high grade, but overshadowed. They included 13.8 m at 1,330 ppm and 23.3 m at 1,610 ppm underscoring some consistency within the mineralised system. Notably, RMDD003 remains in mineralisation at end-of-hole, leaving both down-dip and along-strike potential wide open.

Northern Extension Signals Scale

Positioned 630 m north of the previous high-grade intercept, RMDD003 confirms that the lithium corridor now extends more than 5.6 km along strike. Surface geochemistry hints at further upside beyond current drilling, while pending assays from five adjacent holes promise to reveal the true breadth of the deposit. This step-out result has lifted grades by over 50 per cent compared with RMDD002 and validates the team’s strategy of targeting untested northern ground.

Chairman’s Perspective

Astute Chairman Tony Leibowitz emphasised the significance of this breakthrough: “Our 2025 campaign launched with a bang. RMDD003’s thickness and grade exceed expectations and prove that our high-grade zone continues northward. This success cements Red Mountain’s status as a lithium discovery of real significance in North America. With drilling now defining almost 6 kilometres of strike, we look ahead with confidence to our maiden JORC Mineral Resource Estimate later this year.”

Astute closed the March quarter with A$1.68M cash in the bank after raising A$1.92M at 2.4cps in January.

Red Mountain’s evolving high-grade profile and its rapid strike extension position Astute as a compelling lithium play. As pending results flow and resource definition accelerates, the company is poised to deliver a series of catalysts through 2025. For ASX shareholders seeking exposure to the global lithium boom, Astute’s Nevada project merits a spot on the radar.
